Cypress Series
The Cypress HPLTM Series of commercial permanent magnet motors / generators can be fully integrated into a power generation system supporting standby operation, prime power and continuous duty applications. Patented imbedded permanent magnet rotor design allows Cypress HPLTM machines to achieve higher speed than conventional machines without rotor heating losses associated with conventional generator designs.
The Cypress HPLTM cooling system is a totally enclosed water-to-air cooled (TEWAC) design that prevents the free exchange of air between the inside and the outside of the unit. The machine contains redundant internal circulation fans mounted on top, which circulate internal machine air through redundant heat exchangers, which are cooled by a customer supplied source of circulation water.
